When Chip the Ripper released Rapping Paper, the goal was to bring things full circle. The inspiration was rooted in the original Gift Raps artwork we created back in 2010—keeping that same spirit, but refining it with years of growth and perspective.
Visually, the cover leans into the same illustrated, no-frills approach that made Gift Raps feel personal and memorable. Bold linework, intentional simplicity, and a raw, hand-crafted feel were all choices meant to echo that earlier era, while still feeling current. It was less about chasing trends and more about honoring a visual language we already established together.
Rapping Paper acts as a continuation of that story—familiar, confident, and unapologetically true to its roots. The artwork bridges past and present, tying the evolution of the music to a visual identity that’s been there from the start.
